Japanese legacy brands ASICS and FUJITAKA TOWEL, have collaborated on a special collection of sneakers that focuses on the reuse of surplus materials.
The collection features two SportStyle sneakers, the GEL-NYC and EX89, with shoelaces made from upcycled leftover yarn. The models both bear a distinctive design that includes mixed materials throughout the upper, terry cloth details, and embroidered details reminiscent of traditional patch and repair techniques.
