Following WTAPS’ timeline since its invention in 1996, the brand has established a long list of iconic, BDU-inspired pieces. Among this list, it is impossible to ignore the Buds Cotton Shirt. A well-known re-release since the FW15 season, this piece has emerged in a multitude of colors over the course of WTAPS’ existence. In this case, the jacket’s usual ripstop material has undergone garment dyeing in Japan, replicating the fade of a black vintage BDU jacket. The Bud Cotton Shirt also excels in its detail work, featuring “WTAPS” branding above the pockets, along with an outward-facing brand and size tag on towards the bottom.
