The eighth chapter between Song for the Mute and adidas Originals, ADI008, finds its footing in the playground of Avenue d’Ivry in Paris, where Creative Director Lyna Ty spent their childhood. Beyond the classroom, play, friendship, family and the neighbourhood begin to shape a shared world, a collection formed through observation, routine and the people around us before, during and after school.

The footwear reflects this shared world through two distinct silhouettes. The Samba OG is softened and elevated, its familiar shape relaxed by an elasticated collar that gently collapses around the foot. Executed in buttery black leather, clay-toned raw nubuck and olive suede, each carries its own character, while a dry-brushed sole suggests the wear of everyday life.

Alongside it, the SL72 PRO draws from adidas’ running heritage, reimagined throughthe same lived-in lens. Vintage nylon uppers are paired with scuffed suede overlays and signature hairy suede details, while an aged Light strike midsole evokes years of movement. Colourways in collegiate green-blue, off-white and golden cumin borrow from faded sporting equipment, concrete courtyards and afternoon light.
