The Nike Air Liquid Max is a new sportswear innovation that merges superior comfort with four decades of Air Max learnings and heritage in an entirely new silhouette that isn’t afraid to stand out.The Liquid Max features a low-profile upper crafted with three-layer textured printing in highly visible colors that take cues from the poison dart frog, whose distinctive toe pads also inspired the design.
Each aspect of the Liquid Max works in unison to offer next-level comfort, with Nike innovators applying a systematic, less-is-more approach to every component. Challenging themselves to come as close to the feeling of walking on air as possible, they engineered a contoured Air unit that’s flexible and intentionally low to the ground. This becomes point-loaded Air, situated only where needed underfoot and surrounded by cored-out areas of negative space, which eliminates excess material and weight while lending the Liquid Max its unique geometry. The result is a soft, smooth and stable ride that supports a fluid transition with every step.
